WHAT WE LIVE FOR CAMPAIGN

CHALLENGE

The 2019 Gilead USCA Plenary event was a 3,000-person event to raise awareness for HIV and combat the stigmas faced by those within the community. Taking place in Washington DC, the audience consisted of patient advocacy leaders, key government officials, and keynote speakers, each with varying degrees of knowledge around the disease. I was tasked with creating an animation that would kick off the event, intending to educate attendees, generate excitement, and visually support the key messages of the event.

SOLUTION

I designed and animated a 3D asset that served as the focal point of the event. Stretching across a 70-foot wall, the animation featured a timeline ticker that highlighted key moments throughout the disease’s history. People affected by HIV were also prominently featured, along with quotes from civil rights and health care leaders. Additionally, I designed the emails and large posters that promoted the event.
